The Game Has Changed

The Cromer Cricket Club 5ths Mixed Seniors Team played their first game on Saturday. This is a massive step for our game and the first time it's ever been done on the Northern Beaches. It's a joint initiative of the MWCA with the support of Cromer to give girls an opportunity to play Park Cricket, in the Senior Men's Competition. In our first game on the weekend. we faced Collaroy Plateau, and whilst not winning, the team showed true spirit and courage, whilst bringing youthful enthusiasm and energy. It was a good game, enjoyed by all, even with the loss. A special thanks to Kelvin, Ross Deny, Greg and Bob Rollins for setting the team up. Personally, I can't wait for the next match. And thanks to Hugh, his first Senior game for us, stepping up from the u14s. A big thanks to the girls I know there were a few nerves, but once the game started, they disappeared, just fantastic, a medal to all 🥇

Blast Off - Northern Beaches Cricket

The OFFICAL start date for the Cromer Cricket Blasters and U9s is the 18th of October. The week after the end of the school holidays. The U9' will play their first game on the 19th of Oct and the Blasters first game will be the 26th of Oct. The U9's is a step from Blasters with Helmets, Pad and a soft ball. Our approach is to give everyone an opportunity to play what they want, they can play U9's or Blasters games on Saturdays. A bumper Blaster season ahead, with over 20 signed up already and more to come.
